The preparation of what is presumed to be a straightforward document for minimal expense, in comparison to the fee which would need to be paid to a lawyer to meet with you and prepare a traditional form of Will, can turn out to be a costly decision for your estate.<\/p>\n<p>The uncertainty of meaning, and the oversight and omissions which frequently plague such documents provides a fertile ground for <a title=\"Estate Litigation &amp; Contesting a Will\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abkj.com.au\/estate-litigation-gold-coast.html\">estate litigation<\/a>. Some common difficulties arising with such Wills, which have resulted in the need to file an Application with the Supreme Court for clarification or rectification&#8230;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abkj.com.au\/articles\/diy-will-kits\/\">read full article<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 id=\"02\">Staff Announcements<\/h2>\n<p>ABKJ Lawyers is pleased to announce the promotion of <a title=\"Daniel Madden - Associate of ABKJ\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abkj.com.au\/daniel-madden-solicitor.html\">Daniel Madden<\/a> to an Associate of the firm. Daniel is a valued member of the <a title=\"ABKJ's Gold Coast Lawyers\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abkj.com.au\/our-people.html\">ABKJ team<\/a>, practicing primarily in <a title=\"ABKJ Litigation Services\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abkj.com.au\/litigation-lawyers-gold-coast.html\">commercial litigation<\/a>, <a title=\"ABKJ Property Law Services\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abkj.com.au\/gold-coast-property-lawyers.html\">property law<\/a> including leasing and conveyancing, wills and estates including estate litigation and <a title=\"Gold Coast Commercial Lawyers\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abkj.com.au\/commercial-lawyers-gold-coast.html\">commercial and business law<\/a>. He is also experienced in <a title=\"ABKJ Body Corporate Services\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abkj.com.au\/body-corporate-lawyers.html\">body corporate matters<\/a>, and employment law.<\/p>\n<p>We are also pleased to welcome ABKJ Lawyer Daniel Samuel to the Firm. Daniel is an experienced solicitor, who holds a Juris Doctor from Bond University and a bachelor of Business from Griffith University.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining ABKJ, Daniel was with a private Brisbane city firm, where he gained a wide range of experience in various jurisdictions including: Australia (Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria) Singapore, Malaysia, China and New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel primarily practices in <a title=\"Gold Coast Family Lawyers\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abkj.com.au\/family-law-gold-coast.html\">family law<\/a> and commercial litigation.
