ABKJ was founded in Short Street, Southport in 1970 and since then has grown to become one of the most respected law firms on the Gold Coast. The current partners, Michael Kyle and David Brown have more than 60 years combined experience across a comprehensive range of legal areas with particular specialties in the practice of commercial and property law and Wills and Estates. They are backed by a team of experienced Solicitors, consultants and law clerks.

Michael and David have participated in the phenomenal growth which has seen the Gold Coast grow into the city it is today. They were involved in many of the major commercial real estate developments and high rise buildings that dominate the Gold Coast skyline, and they have provided advice and guidance to many local businesses and individuals on a wide range of legal issues over the long history of the firm.

Both David and Michael have extensive experience in the legal issues surrounding the sale and purchase of businesses, property developments, commercial property acquisitions, leases and general commercial litigation and they have acted on behalf of Purchasers and Vendors of many of the major commercial properties in the Gold Coast area.

The firm prides itself on the personal service and relationship which the partners maintain with all clients of the firm. Particular attention is paid to providing frequent reporting to clients of the progress of their matters.
